With the mast positioned 60 mm further forward than the original Black Standard fuselage and 40 mm further forward than the Advance 20, the Advance+ moves the foil's pivot point closer to the front wing. The result is faster turn initiation, smoother rail-to-rail transitions and a more lively, surf-oriented feel. Much like moving the fins forward on a surfboard, the foil feels more willing to change direction and respond instantly to rider input.
The Advance+ also delivers increased torsional stiffness, particularly noticeable when pumping or riding larger-span wings where precise control and immediate response are critical.
Why doesn't everyone ride the Advance+? The same characteristics that make it feel highly reactive and connected can also make it feel more sensitive in pitch. Riders focused on progression, stability or predictable tracking may prefer the more balanced nature of the Advance 20, which offers greater yaw stability and requires less rider input to maintain a locked-in feel when cruising, learning or covering distance.
Compatible with all foils utilizing the BLACK connection system, the Advance+ features our integrated zinc anode to help reduce corrosion. All required hardware is supplied pre-installed with Tef-Gel applied, making it ready to ride straight out of the included protective bag.
