Positioned 20mm further forward than our original fuselages (closer to the front wing), the Advance 20 is aimed squarely at riders who prefer a more subtle, controlled, and forgiving feel. It is particularly well suited to those in the earlier stages of their foiling journey, as well as anyone seeking a smoother and less reactive ride.
This mast position generates slightly more front-foot pressure than the Advance+ range, generally making it easier to initiate flight. At the same time, the foil becomes less sensitive to small weight shifts, resulting in slower, more predictable pitch response. Combined with improved yaw stability, we end with a foil that feels more locked-in, confidence-inspiring and comfortable across a wide range of conditions.
So why doesn't everyone ride the Advance 20? Riders looking for razor-sharp turning, maximum pumping efficiency, or those regularly using foils with spans significantly greater than 1150mm will likely be better served by the Advance+ range. However, if your priorities are fun, progression, and building confidence on foil, the Advance 20 is designed to help you get there faster.
